![]() ![]() VALVE ADJUSTMENTS are required at first oil change and every two years afterwards regardless of mileage. 3126B and E have two intake valves and one exhaust valve. Early 3126 engines only have one intake valve and one exhaust valve. As I understand, it was some Heavy Duty engines other than the 3126 that are not in compliance yet. This allowes Cat to run non compliant engines without producing heavy fines and gives them time to produce a compliant engine. ![]() Cat produced this engine for EPA Standards prior to standards becoming Law to build credits in the EPA bank towards clean air standards in the future. The E engines were produced with Catalytic converters. The B engines are electronic non-catalytic. ![]()
